Is the EAP really free of charge for employees?

Absolutely. All services that you use with the EAP are free, meaning that no costs will incur for employees seeking advice.

How confidential is the conselling really?

Every counselling session that you occupy is 100% confidential! Nobody will be aware that an employee is using our counselling service. All our counsellors are bound to an oath of secrecy by penal and occupational provisions. No exceptions made!

If the imployer is paying for the EAP, don't you have to provide them with specific information when issuing your invoice?

No, not at all. First of all the EAP is confidential, which means that nobody except the counsellor knows who is using the programme and what is being discussed. Secondly, the employer pays a flat-rate – itemisation is therefore not required.  

Who exactly is behind your conselling service?

We are a team of experienced experts consisting of doctors, psychologists, teachers and social workers, complemented by family experts, lawyers and other professionals.

Can an employer or a superior force an employee to take part in an EAP?

No. The utilisation of an EAP is absolutely voluntary and completely independent from personnel legal issues.  

Must I except to pay for any part of the counselling out of my own pocket?

No, under no circumstances. All EAP services are free for employees of employers that are signed up for the service. No additional services will be „sold“ during EAP counselling sessions .

What happens if the EAP has been completed but I still have problems?

This is where our pilotage service can help. If you require further measures, we will be glad to help. The pilotage service will search for suitable experts, will arrange appointments and will help organise further steps.

What about data protection - how is this handled?

Data protection has our highest priority! This applies to electronic and paper documents. Upon request, we will send you the respective privacy policy along with the public procedure directory. We would be happy to talk to your data protection officer.   

Will the employer receive a report from you?

At long intervals we deliver an anonymous report about how often the service has been used which also reveals categorized advisory issues. The reporting does not allow any conclusions as to the identity of individual users.

Will you also answer any technical questions I have?

Yes, certainly. Especially executives, HR staff, Works Council members and company doctors frequently use our expert service. 

Who answers the phone when I call you?

You will always reach a qualified consultant by phone. He or she is either a doctor, a psychologist or a social worker. Each of our staff has a solid education in applying solution-oriented counselling methods and has extensive professional experience.
